Gardens (1)- Macedon Ranges copyJust 1 hour from Melbourne get out of town and explore spring in the Macedon Ranges. Take a leisurely drive up to Lancefield Guesthouse welcomed with a true country morning tea served in our lounge at 10.30am. We will head up to Mt Macedon region and explore stunning Spring Gardens with the first being Duneira, be wowed by the driveway of blue bells! The property boasts a heritage garden c1872 that is of national significance, the guides will lead you on a magical walk through the highlights of the garden.

We will then enjoy a 2 course lunch at Mt Macedon Pub, followed by a visit to the famous Stephen Ryan of Dicksonia Rare Plants Nursery who has published three books on rare plants that have received rave reviews, his manual contains over 2000 entries of rare plants available in temperate Australia. You will have the opportunity to listen to Stephen’s private talk and explore the wonderful rare plant nursery.

That evening enjoy platters and a wine tasting in the cellar at the Guesthouse. The following day we will head to Forest Glade for you explore the stunning gardens that embraces a mixture of landscaping styles taking inspiration from English, Italian and Woodland traditions. Followed by strolling down to Gardens of Tieve Tara where you will fall in love with the enchanted gardens, enjoying morning tea at the “Monet” inspired lake.
